Hello Creative Friends, welcome to this limited Summer newsletter. I’m Océane, I’m passionate about inspiring people to be creative and showing them the power of an easy prompt.
This is a 6-week newsletter for the curious minds. It’s super easy: one post a week with a simple prompt to spark creativity.

First of all, thank you SO much for being here! I’m so happy to be spending the next 6 weeks with you via this Summer Newsletter. I’ve put together some super simple prompts to spark your creativity and have some fun.
Each week the format will be pretty much the same, I’ll give you a simple prompt, you shouldn’t need more to spend more than 10/20mins on each prompt but I also suggest how you can take it a step further if you have the time & feel inclined to it.
Are you ready? Let’s start…
WEEK ONE - SUMMER WORD
If you’re thinking: ‘Oh no, not another word!, it’s hard enough having to choose a word of the year. Now she wants me to pick a word of the summer!’ I HEAR you but…please stay with me on this.
The summer can be a bit tricky for people, we long for it all winter and when it’s finally here, it’s often too hot or too rainy. If you have children it can also be especially challenging, juggling kids out of school and work as well as making sure to have a holiday and make the most of the summer can create a lot of pressure.
So finding a word or a phrase to go back to as you navigate the summer weeks might help ground you when things get a little overwhelming.
Quite simply your prompt this week is to choose a word or a phrase (whatever you prefer) to guide you for the next 6 weeks. Now, if you’re finding it hard to come up with a word out of thin air, just walk over to your bookshelves, pick a random book and page, and see if a word feels true to you in that moment.
A STEP FURTHER
Once you have your word or phrase, play with it in whatever way you see fit:
Write it out in beautiful calligraphy, hand lettering or in your favourite typeface
Get some scissors and cut out its letters from a newspaper or magazine, stick them on some nice paper with glue
Print it out and display it or write it digitally and save it as as phone screensaver
Please let me how you get on with this prompt. I hope to see you in the comments.
See you next week,
Océane xoxo
UNLOAD !!!! As in - unload the “should” and “to do’s”, unload the need to be perfect, unload the physical and mental clutter in my life and just ENJOY summer!!
I think my word for the Summer has been “embrace”! Embrace the chaos of life with two children under 4… embrace the weather even if it’s raining one minute and sunny the next!
