Hello Creative Friends, welcome to this limited Summer newsletter. I’m Océane, I’m passionate about inspiring people to be creative and showing them the power of an easy prompt.
This is a 6-week newsletter for the curious minds. It’s super easy: one post a week with a simple prompt to spark creativity.

How did you find Week One of our Creative Summer Series?
Thank you to those of you who let me know your summer words. So far, your words have been: Flow, Draft, Deepen, Sunflower and Fitness! I LOVE them.
My summer word is PLAY. I’ve felt really burned out by my day job recently so it’s time to make space for playing.
I want my summer to be about, reading outside, swimming, having picnics, playing around with my creativity, painting and working with mixed media, trying something new on Substack like audio.
It’s not too late to let me know your word, if you’re only joining us now (welcome!) you can catch up on our WEEK ONE prompt here:
WEEK TWO - CREATIVE SPACE
I’ve read somewhere that clutter kills creativity. If you want to spend time being creative this summer make sure you have a clutter free space for it.
Don’t worry, I’m not asking you to Marie Condo and deep clean your entire home, just the space where you create - move irrelevant papers away, do a bit of dusting, put some flowers in a small glass and display your summer word.
If you find yourself away from home this week, perhaps you’re on holiday - find yourself a space that you can claim as yours for a moment everyday.
Quite simply your prompt this week is to spend 30mins a day in your creative space. Use that time to be alone with your thoughts, paint, draw, write, read etc. Don’t start a time consuming project, or plan any important goals, just be present in your space.
A STEP FURTHER
Use the time you spend in your creative space to write someone a card or a letter. If you’re on holiday send a postcard - when’s the last time you sent a postcard to someone? I’m using this prompt to write an overdue letter to my penpal.
Please let me how you get on with this prompt - I’d really love to hear from you and I hope to see you in the comments.
See you next week,
Océane xoxo
Oh, I love this. We are at home for the next few weeks and I love the idea of creating a little creative space 🩷
