Hello Creative Friends, welcome to this limited Summer newsletter. I’m Océane, I’m passionate about inspiring people to be creative and showing them the power of an easy prompt.
This is a 6-week newsletter for the curious minds. It’s super easy: one post a week with a simple prompt to spark creativity.

Hello…How did you find week two of our creative summer?
Last week, in my creative space I wrote an overdue letter to my penpal. I love having a penpal. I found mine via the lovely website The London Letters.
If you’re playing catch-up, don’t worry you can find the previous prompts for WEEK ONE and WEEK TWO here:
WEEK THREE - LISTEN WITH INTENTIONS
This week’s prompt is all about listening.
Daydreaming often gets a bad rep but it does wonder for creativity.
When I find myself daydreaming my initial reaction is to stop because it’s distracting me from what I’m currently doing, my daydreaming spells mostly occur when I need to focus on something e.g. my day job but what if we welcomed daydreaming and consciously made it happen?
Quite simply your prompt this week is to invite daydreaming into your life and make time for it: go for a walk without your phone and just let your mind wander aimlessly or take a break from work and just sit with a cup of tea daydreaming for 10 mins. Don’t write anything down, just be present with your own thoughts.
A STEP FURTHER
Do you like podcasts? I love them but I’m guilty of listening to them while doing something else like washing the dishes or cycling into work so unfortunately I don’t have a pen and paper close by to take notes or right down some of my thoughts on what I’m listening to.
This week, take some time to listen to a podcast without doing anything else and take notes as you go.
Here are 3/4 of my favourite podcasts:
How to Fail with Elizabeth Day (wherever you listen to your podcasts on)
Ctrl Alt Delete (wherever you listen to your podcasts on) and Creative Coffee (only available on The Hyphen) by Emma Gannon
Friends with Business Benefits - Charlie Swift & Franky Shanahan (I listen on Apple podcasts but I’ve just found out it’s also on Substack)
Please let me how you get on with this prompt in the comments, I’d really love to hear from you and any a podcast recommendation if you have one.
Until next week,
Océane xoxo
When you are inviting me to daydream, I am very much on board! Thank you for this and the other beautiful weeks’ prompts xx
My pleasure ☺️ xx
